Grass to Table is a small family farm in Indian Valley, Floyd County, Virginia, raising the family's fourth generation of dairy farmers.
The herd of fewer than a dozen milking cows is 100% A2A2 tested and moves to fresh grass daily under rotational grazing, with each pasture rested 30 or more days. Cows are milked once a day for a thick creamline, and milk, cream, butter and kefir go out completely raw in glass jars through a small local herdshare with weekend pickups in Floyd.
Nothing on the farm receives chemicals, pesticides, hormones, antibiotics or wormers. Beef is 100% grass fed and finished on the same daily rotation, and rare heritage Mulefoot pigs are raised on deep bedding with a milk fed, soy free, non GMO, low corn diet, both offered through local meatshares. The dairy cows' only extras are nature sourced supplements: alfalfa hay, kelp, molasses, Sea 90 salt and small amounts of soaked whole grain.

Absolutely phenomenal! We sampled several dishes—the sausage roll, burger, shrimp tacos, chocolate caramel tart, and peach danish—and I genuinely couldn’t pick a favorite if I tried. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love and care. The prices are a little on the higher side, but the quality makes it worth it. Such a great addition to Floyd’s food scene! Can’t wait to come back and try the coffee and breakfast next!
My hubby and I REALLY enjoyed our experience here. We had the Shrimp tacos which were truly delicious! Shrimp cooked perfectly and the flavor combo was chef's kiss. The burger was great and the fresh tomato on it could've been it's own sandwich. We brought Cinnamon Raisin Pecan Sourdough bread home and it's quite yummy. The atmosphere is relaxed and understatedly elegant. A great place to "gather" with family and friends or enjoy on your own. We will be back!
Great food and the drinks were amazing. Crosby was the best part of our experience. Highly recommend the burger and shrimp tacos!
