Smart idea to grab and go fresh veggies and dairy products. We would have gotten the mango lassi and butter, but no spoon or cooler..next time though.
They were out of the lassis and other drinks when we visited. I bought some fromage blanc for a casual dinner with friends the night before a wedding, and it was a total hit (along with some local meats).
This place is absolutely lovely, so well stocked with veggies, yogurt, and cheese. We can't wait to try everything we purchased. Next time I need to order the mango lassi or mango puree in advance, it looked so yummy in the other fridge!
Venison Valley Farm and Creamery is a small dairy on Vashon Island, Washington making raw milk aged cheeses, fromage blanc, yogurt and lassis from its six cows kept on pasture year round.
Venison Valley Farm and Creamery is run by Kelsey and Ben on Vashon Island, Washington, its name borrowed from a favourite hunting spot. Kelsey is the cheese maker and Ben looks after the cows, which are treated as members of the family, and the herd's milk goes into cheese made on the farm.
Produce is sold from the farm stand at the farm, open daily, with a pre pay scheme for regulars who like to load up credit in advance and beef offered by pre sale when it is available. The pair also offer farm consultations for anyone wanting their advice.
