The Fermor family have farmed Perry Court for over 80 years, since Lionel and Jessie Fermor bought the farm in 1951, and the family now works around 800 acres. They grow their own fruit, vegetables and salad, press their own juice, and grow more than 200 heritage apple and pear varieties, celebrated every autumn at the farm's Apple Fayre, which raises money for the Pilgrims Hospice in Ashford. The farm shop began in the 1980s in a converted potato shed and now fills a converted oasthouse, selling the farm's own seasonal produce alongside chutneys, cheeses, wines and meats from small Kent producers. There is a butchery counter with locally sourced meat, a UK cheese and cured meat deli, a tearoom baking its own cakes and scones, and stalls at farmers markets from Wye to North London. Open daily, 8am to 6pm.

The farm was originally a 40 acre apple orchard, and Joyce Barnes planted the first third of an acre of vines as apple prices declined in the late 1960s. Today the second and third generations of the family run a single estate of 23 acres of gentle south facing slopes just outside the Wealden village of Biddenden, growing 12 different grape varieties. Around 80,000 bottles are produced each year, and all vine work on the estate, from pruning and canopy management to picking, is still carried out by hand, with harvest running from mid September through to November. The vineyard shop sells the estate's white, rose, red and sparkling English wines alongside its ciders and pressed apple juices, and visitors can walk the vines on open, guided and self guided tours through the year.

What began as a village farm shop grew roots of its own: the family diversified into rearing pigs and moved to their own farm, Dering Farm, in 2021. The famous Pluckley pork is reared in large outdoor paddocks, the pigs fed fruit and veg alongside organic, GM free pig nuts, with no fertilisers or pesticides used on the land and no steroids or antibiotics routinely given. The shop on Smarden Road sells the farm's own pork alongside freshly baked bread, dairy, fresh fruit and veg, cheese, meat, local beers, wines and spirits, locally made ice cream and bespoke hampers, all sourced from the farm or the local area. The founder's sister Marie has worked in the shop since it opened, with farm shop dog Murphy roaming the farm.
