Cliftons FarmRaw milk & eggs · Preston4.9 (83 reviews)Cliftons Farm has been home to the Parkinson family since 1967, in the village of Inglewhite in rural Lancashire, and was the first certified organic family dairy farm in the north of England. Thomas and Iris Parkinson milk certified organic Jersey cows for raw milk, raw cream, raw butter, natural live yoghurt, cheese and ghee, raise the male calves for beef butchered on site, and keep organic free range hens for eggs.
The farm shop opens daily and only sells what the farm produces, down to fruit pots from the orchard. A local delivery round covers parts of the North West, a courier service reaches England and Wales, and it is worth phoning ahead because some products are seasonal or limited.Barton Brook DairyRaw milk · Preston4.5 (91 reviews)Barton Brook Dairy is a third generation family dairy farm on Station Lane in Barton, just north of Preston, home to an award winning herd of 120 milking cows. In 2016 farm manager Phil and his wife Sara set out to diversify beyond difficult supermarket milk prices, and after a visit to an ice cream convention chose gelato over the usual farmhouse ice cream, inspired by Phil's time in Florence. Today Sara makes over 30 flavours on the farm using the herd's own milk, served Wednesday to Sunday from the farm, and there is even a lactose and sugar free gelato for dogs. The herd is milked in a robotic parlour and has its own barn to relax in.Naked MilkRaw milk · Preston4.8 (66 reviews)Naked Milk is raw, unpasteurised whole milk produced fresh at Gracemire Farm in Treales, near Preston. Nothing is done to the milk beyond the essentials, so it keeps the natural structure, flavour and richness it has as it leaves the well cared for herd.
The milk is sold from a self service honesty box at the farm, open every day from early morning until evening, so you can call in whenever suits and help yourself. If you have a question, the farm is happy to take a phone call.
Farm on the FellRaw milk & meat · Preston4.7 (54 reviews)Farm on the Fell is a cow with calf dairy at Big Blindhurst Farm in Bleasdale, Lancashire. The raw milk is sold on the farm and made into gelato in the farm's own processing room, and they also rear rare breed pork and 100% pasture fed beef.
The farm shop is open every day from 8am to 8pm with a raw milk vending machine, the gelato shop opens at weekends, and milk, gelato, pork and beef can all be ordered for nationwide delivery.
