The best farms

  1. 1Milk and Honey Hill FarmMilk and Honey Hill FarmHoney farm in New Blaine4.7 (12 reviews)Milk and Honey Hill Farm is a family run farm in New Blaine, Arkansas, selling raw cow's milk, fresh eggs, local honey and pastured pork, with firewood on the side. The animals are given space to roam and graze, and the family farm without harsh chemicals or unnecessary interventions. Everything is sold direct from the farm. There are no fixed opening hours, so get in touch with the farm to arrange a time to collect and to check what is available.
  2. 2The Front Porch MarketThe Front Porch MarketFarm shop in BentonThe Front Porch Market is a family run market on Greenhill Farm in Benton, Arkansas. It began with selling the farm's fresh eggs and has grown into a shop stocked with Arkansas grown produce and goods from local vendors, while the farm around it is kept as a sanctuary for nature. Ready to go meals are made daily, with sandwiches on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The market is open Wednesday through Sunday, so there are plenty of chances to call in across the week.
  3. 3Shady Oaks FarmsShady Oaks FarmsFarm shopShady Oaks Farms is a family farm at Greenwood, Arkansas, milking a mixed herd of grass fed cows that also get a grain ration to keep the milk consistent and sweet. The milk is sold raw, the cows are tested weekly for mastitis with monthly somatic cell counts, and A2 milk can be requested, with those cows milked separately. Milk is collected from a self service fridge in the milk room, payment left in the jar or sent by Venmo or CashApp, and regular customers get an assigned weekly pickup day. Arkansas only allows raw milk sales at the farm, so there is no delivery, and visitors are asked to arrive between 10am and 8pm. The farm also raises beef, pastured poultry, pasture raised eggs and goats.
  4. 4Wilson RanchWilson RanchButcherWilson Ranch is a year round dairy, cattle and sheep operation at Heber Springs, Arkansas, run with a focus on animal welfare, transparency and care of the land. The dairy cows live in a clean, low stress environment and their raw milk is handled with strict hygiene at every step from parlour to bottle. Alongside raw cow's milk the ranch sells grass fed beef from its Old World Black Cattle and Native Aberdeen Angus, plus grass fed lamb from its sheep flock. Orders go through the online store, the ranch is open Monday to Saturday, and there are farm stays for anyone wanting to see ranch life up close.
