    The best farms

    1. 1A black cow nosing her newborn red calf beside a round hay baleCarlton FarmsRaw milk, meat & eggs · Rockmart4.8 (374 reviews)Carlton Farms is a diversified family farm in Rockmart, Georgia, about 45 miles northwest of Atlanta. The land has been family owned since 1919, cows have been milked here since Louie Carlton started the dairy in 1946, and the third, fourth and fifth generations all work the farm today, raising animals on pasture with non GMO feeds and regenerative, sustainable methods. The farm produces raw cows' milk for pets, free range eggs, grass fed beef and lamb, and pasture raised poultry and pork, and stocks fruit, vegetables, raw honey and organic pecans from like minded local farms. Shop at the on-farm store, collect from a popup pickup location, or have the farm's own trucks deliver to your door. In season there is a corn maze, and school field trips run in spring and autumn.
    2. 2Farm Fresh Beef and ProduceFarm Fresh Beef and ProduceRaw milk, meat & eggs · Ball Ground4.5 (175 reviews)Farm Fresh Beef and Produce is a farm store in Ball Ground, Georgia selling meat from animals the family raises itself from birth to butcher. The beef is 100% grass fed and grass finished, and the pork and chicken are farm raised in a low stress environment. Meat is sold by the cut in store, by whole and half animal, and delivered fresh across Georgia, with everything USDA inspected. Alongside its own meats the store stocks locally sourced foods: fresh vegetables and fruits, farm fresh eggs, raw cow's milk, raw cream, Amish cheese and butter, Amish canned goods, and homemade pot pies, ready to cook meals, cookies and bread. The shop is open Monday to Saturday 10am to 6pm and Sunday 11am to 4pm, serving families across north Georgia.
    3. 3Country Gardens FarmCountry Gardens FarmRaw milk, meat, fruit & veg · Newnan4.8 (94 reviews)Country Gardens Farm works more than 150 acres of family farmland in Coweta County, Georgia, on land that has been in the Cunningham family for three generations. Mike Cunningham is an organic farmer and horticulturist with over 40 years of experience, and he farms alongside his wife Judy and their four sons. The vegetables are Certified Naturally Grown, the garden runs to two acres and is still growing, and the cattle, pigs and chickens are raised on pasture all the time and are never given antibiotics or added hormones. Their hens graze all day and lay free range eggs year round, and James Cunningham grows and harvests the farm's seasonal blueberries. Joseph Cunningham started the dairy in 2008 and now runs it with his wife Ashley, keeping a small herd of heritage Jersey cows on pasture 24 hours a day and milking once a day to reduce stress. The milk is non pasteurized and non homogenized, chilled straight from the cow and bottled fresh, and Georgia law means raw milk sold in the state has to be labelled for pets. Calves are left with their mothers as long as possible and are then raised out on pasture for the farm's grass fed beef, and the pastures are never sprayed with pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilisers. You can buy at the farmstand in Newnan, at the Buckhead and Atlanta area drop on Saturday mornings, by home delivery, or through a weekly subscription for milk and eggs.
    4. 4MR Goatfeathers FarmMR Goatfeathers FarmRaw milk & eggs · Flowery Branch5 (37 reviews)MR Goatfeathers Farm sits in Flowery Branch, Georgia, where a husband and wife started with Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats and a few chickens in the spring of 2015. They milked their first registered doe, Tootsie, for a whole year and began experimenting with her milk at home, making yogurt, cheeses and soap for the family. The herd is registered with ADGA and takes part in DHIR milk testing and Linear Appraisal, so the does are measured on butterfat, protein, production and somatic cell count, and scored against the breed standard. The farm's stated aim is a quality miniature dairy goat for the home milker and a correct one for the show ring. The farm offers farm fresh pastured eggs and raw goat milk in limited quantities. Its chickens live with the goats and the livestock guardian dogs, which is why the farm calls them truly free range, and they are supplemented with a non GMO feed that carries no corn and no soy. The raw goat milk comes from pastured goats on a dairy goat ration and alfalfa hay, and the farm sells it in half gallons under its Georgia Department of Agriculture pet food license. Milk and eggs are pre-order only, with no unscheduled pick ups. The same milk goes into Embuzi Soap Company, the sister business started in 2017, whose cold process goat milk soap carries 38 percent raw goat milk in every batch and is measured, poured, cut and cured on the farm.

Their online store sells A2 raw milk, pastured eggs, grass fed beef, heritage pork sausages, chicken and turkey, plus organic spice blends and pet treats. 7. 7Creekline FarmsCreekline FarmsRaw milk, meat & eggs · Bishop5 (12 reviews)Creekline Farms is a family farm at 1800 Astondale Road in Bishop, Georgia, where the same family has produced off the land since 1888. The farm raises Charolais and Brangus cattle for tender, natural local beef, a breed chosen almost 40 years ago for its performance converting grass into remarkable lean beef, and milks Jersey cows for 100% A2A2 raw milk, sold by the half gallon and gallon to Georgia standards as raw pet milk. There are farm fresh eggs in a multitude of colours from several breeds of hens, a hatchery selling live chicks and hatching eggs, registered Charolais herd sires and replacement heifers, and European German Shepherds bred as a family passion. 8. 8Woodsong FarmWoodsong FarmRaw milk, meat & eggs · Chattahoochee Hills5 (8 reviews)Woodsong Farm is run by Peter and Kristin Davenport in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia, a short drive into the country from Atlanta. Their aim, in their own words, is to steward the earth with attention, integrity and joy. Birds are fed soy free organic feed and rotated onto fresh pasture through managed intensive grazing, while the cows spend the day on grass or hay and give rich, creamy raw milk. The farm sells raw grass fed Jersey milk, raw milk yogurt, seasonal grass fed lamb and beef, pastured eggs from hens on organic soy free feed, forest raised pork and fresh cut flowers. Products are sold from the farm stand on Mondays and Thursdays from 3pm to 6pm, through the online shop, and at the Peachtree Road Farmers Market in Atlanta every Saturday from March to December.

    11. 11Perch & Pasture CoPerch & Pasture CoRaw milk & eggs · Waverly HallPerch & Pasture Co is a family owned, veteran operated farm at Waverly Hall, Georgia. After 17 years in the Army, Daniel Stallings medically retired and the family started raising the nutrient dense food they could not find locally. Today they raise A2A2 Jersey cows for raw milk, dairy goats, beef cattle, pastured pigs, meat chickens, laying hens, holiday turkeys, ducks and quail, all rotated through fresh pasture, and bring their food to the community through an online shop and a Mobile Farm Market. The farm practises adaptive multi paddock grazing, moving animals frequently to fresh ground, and calf shares with the dairy herd so calves stay with their mothers rather than being removed at birth. They never use routine antibiotics, synthetic dewormers or hormones, and no synthetic fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides go on the land. Beef is grass fed and pasture finished on diverse forage, pigs root and roam on pasture with non GMO grain, and all laying hens are hatched on the farm. Small batch gluten free baked goods, dried herbs and seasonal garden produce round out the range.

The goats are shown at American Dairy Goat Association events and several of the does carry championship titles. The herd is stated free of CAE, TB and Brucellosis, a 2026 to 2027 breeding and kidding schedule is published, and kids are sold disbudded, tattooed and microchipped. Raw whole goat milk is sold fresh and frozen in half gallon, liter and gallon containers, labelled for animal consumption only as Georgia law requires, and pick up is at the farm by appointment.
