They milk about 40 Jersey cows, all A2/A2 and 100% grass fed, on 210 acres of rotationally grazed pasture, moving the milking herd four times a day. Laying hens follow the cows through the fields in mobile coops, and the farm also raises meat chickens, dairy steers and Thanksgiving turkeys on pasture. Their milk, cheese, meats and eggs are sold from the farm store and through their online store, alongside pastured pork raised at Golden Bear Farm in Kiel, Wisconsin, fed no corn, soy or GMOs. The farm also hosts pizza on the farm nights and other community events.

Animals are raised naturally, without GMO feed, antibiotics or growth hormones, with the cattle and sheep out on pasture and the pigs and birds given the run of the outdoors. Meat and eggs are sold from the farm store on State Road 50, and you can order ahead for on farm pickup. The store opens Tuesday to Saturday.

The farm is part of the FairShare Coalition and invites visitors to stop in for a hot cup of coffee.

The store runs on the honour system, so you shop and pay on trust. Eggs, fresh veg and meat fill the shelves from Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm, and the family are happy to share recipes, storage tips and a chat when they are about. Pets need to stay in the car though, since the farm dogs consider the property their own.
