Crawford's Farm

Their micro dairy of ten Irish Shorthorn and Irish Moiled cows, each known by name, produces raw milk, raw cream, handmade raw butter and raw buttermilk for just over eight months of the year, from mid March to late November. All the dairy is filtered and chilled but never pasteurised or homogenised, and the whole farm is certified organic by the Organic Trust.

The farm works to the seasons, resting in winter, and raises rotationally grazed poultry and pigs alongside the herd for organic chicken, pork, bacon and the occasional Shorthorn beef. Products are ordered online for weekly collection at the farm and at pickup points including the Limerick Milk Market, Shinrone, Birdhill and Naas, with the raw dairy also stocked by independent shops such as Sheridans Cheesemongers. By their own account they are Ireland's longest standing raw milk dairy.
