Great tour and education on beekeeping 🐝🐝🐝🐝
Beautiful tasting raw natural honey.
A wonderful tour and education on beekeeping and the workings of these amazing little animals. Noel was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The bees and how the hive works is truly a wonder. Noel then showed us how the honey is made ready for market and we also had a tasting of the honeys he produces – which really demonstrated the differences in flavours attainable. Would really recommend the tour and meeting Noel. We were made to feel so welcome and it is clear he has a great love for these little insects and their remarkable work.
Truly wonderful tour, we learned so much and really enjoyed the experience! We also loved the gorgeous honey tasting at the end. Very happy with the lovely honeys, balms and bee pollen we picked up onsite for gifts (and some for ourselves)😊Thank you Noel and family!
The heather honey is delicious 😋 definitely gives a boost to the immune system this time of year, it's lifted the house out of a week's long cough and general run down illnesses.
I'm so pleased with the products I ordered from Leahy Beekeeping. I ordered on Monday & received today, Wednesday!! Very impressed with speed of processing, packaging, presentation & quality of goods!! My favourite item is the Lavender Hand balm.... as an outdoors person, this is such a necessity to ravaged hands! Buy Irish, Support Irish Artisan producers & you will not be disappointed. 💚🤍🧡
We went over to Noel's for a Bee Tour. It was a fantastic experience for all of us (2 adults, including one with a fear of bees, and a child). He answered all of our questions about the bees and the beehives. He gave us very good protective suits that made us feel safe and comfortable around the bees and he showed us what happens inside a beehive. It was fascinating and we learnt a lot. We also got to see the equipment used for extracting honey, At the end of our tour we could taste some of the delicious honey made by Noel's bees. We highly recommend visiting this amazing place if you want to experience the wonder of bees firsthand.
Sliabh Aughty Honey is the Leahy family's fourth generation apiary near Loughrea in County Galway, Ireland, selling raw unpasteurised Irish honey, heather honey, comb honey and bee pollen.
Sliabh Aughty Honey is made by the Leahy family, beekeepers for four generations, from hives near and on the slopes of the Sliabh Aughty Mountains near Loughrea in east Galway. Local flora gives the honey its own sweetness, and every jar is 100 per cent raw and full of natural antioxidants.
The range takes in wildflower, heather, comb, section and hot honeys, with bee pollen and propolis besides. Everything can be ordered from the online shop, and the family also runs bee tours from their home place at Carrowmore. The shop is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 6pm.
