The shop manager volunteered a couple £s when I came for milk without cash. (Paid her back next morning).
How rude staff are here there was two lady’s in shop wayside farm shop they don’t have bit sense. My three year daughter she took pear from outside plant in parking side one lady come from shop she said it’s not for you guys I say sorry. Other lady came said put it back I gave her Back and she throw it on floor with very rude behaviour. After that we fill milk and going inside the car that lady look at me and my daughter like they eat us. When I was ask them from far why they looking they starting arguments with us.. even my husband told we can pay for that one pear she was abuse us.she took picture of our car number plate. I can call police on that time because they hrash my three year old daughter but my husband he was stopped me. I just asking please give some sense to there staff members they really need to sense.
Staff are really rude. I just went to buy milk and that time one lady came from shop I was ask her what time you guys close shop she was really rude. She give me very rude answer. I just request the owner please give some manners to Staff. When coustmer ask them anything they are recode number plate. I was read there review 70 percent Is bad review regarding your staff. Please keep eye on there staff otherwise nobody want to come there. In uk lots of farm avaliable people's are not dependent on your farm.
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up
I would give 10 stars for this wonderful milk. It is 100% natural. You brought me the taste of my childhood. I grew up in Romania in the countryside and I was longing for good milk. I have been getting milk for my family and children for a week and I don't regret walking half an hour to get to the farm. I went out with the children and they saw how clean and beautiful it is. May God give you health and strength to take care of the animals and for us to eat healthy.
An absolutely wonderful place! The milk is incredibly fresh and tastes exactly how real milk should taste. You can see the cows, which makes the whole experience even more special and authentic. There’s something very reassuring about knowing exactly where your food comes from. The self-service system is simple, convenient, and very easy to use. You don’t need any special skills or effort — everything is designed to make the process smooth and enjoyable. Shopping there feels natural and pleasant, not stressful. You leave with positive feelings and a desire to come back again. Let’s support local farms — this is real food, made with care, and places like this truly deserve our support.
I haven't been to many farm shops however, this one by far is the best! The staff are amazing, so helpful and informative and friendly! Nothing is too much for them, they one of the young ladies even took my toddler to see the calfs! I have returned everywhere wk now for a few months and will continue to do so. Highly recommend Wayside. Support local!
A little bit disappointed, really. Opening times and days are incredibly limited and it doesn’t really say if it’s related to the shop or just the milk? Car park is quite small and quite confusing. You’re not really sure where to go and what to do. Signage is quite tatty and old. The shipping container that you get the milk from is incredibly rusty. They are using old fridges as cupboards for some reason. The machine refused to take coins. Tried to tell a member of staff and they were quite passive aggressive saying “well it worked yesterday” okay. That’s great that it worked yesterday, but it’s not working now. Really limited room in the shipping container considering there is two machines in there you can’t really access it if there’s someone else in there well that’s what I found. Lots of passive aggressive signs on the wall saying about band customers, not sure why small businesses seem to be so grumpy. Visiting the shop was equally as confusing. multiple prices on items which didn’t really explain how much anything was I think there was six or £8 for a small packet of mince beef but that was also the price per kilo but it quite clearly wasn’t a kilo but both the prices on the pack were the most expensive price. I tried to ask someone and they just said “price of meat nowadays” which didn’t really answer my question is that really small packet of mince beef £8? Lots of the shop didn’t have pricing on it. I would go there again because I really support the sale of raw milk. I just wish it was done in a better way.
So good you have to be prepared to Queue!!! Honestly my favourite shop in UK serving fresh food from not only their own farm but neighbouring ones too including Fresh Eggs and poultry. Don’t forget to ask for the different flavours of milkshake options where you choose your syrup in the Farm Shop which they pump into an empty bottle which you then fill at the Milk Vending Machine. Delicious!!!
