Superb evening wine tasting at Silverhand. Louise looked after us so brilliantly and was a font of knowledge of all things Kentish wines. Thank you Louise.

The menu in the shop listed the price as £5.50, but the actual selling price was £7. I was charged £14 for two. That didn't seem right. When I asked the staff member, she simply explained that the price on the menu was outdated.
The tour is exceptional and the vineyards and wine are equally brilliant.
We were given a Wine tasting and tour for our 55th wedding anniversary. The day we visited the sun was shining and we were greeted by Louise. She explained everything that was going to happen. We were given a glass of sparkling rose while we waited. We were driven around the vineyard by Louise, who pointed out the different grape varieties. We were able to get out and look at the grapes. The view is amazing. There is so much history attached to the land. We arrived back at the winery and given a sample to taste of each wine and sparkling wine. All were really lovely. One we were very surprised at liking as it was a Chardonnay which we don’t normally drink but loved it. It was a most enjoyable day. All the staff were very friendly. We would definitely go back. They also do a gin. Thank you Louise for making it such a memorable day.
We visited the Silverhand Vineyard and did a wine tasting and tour. It was a great experience seeing the vineyard first hand in the jeep and trying out the wines. Our tour guide Jake was really friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend. Ideal to spend time trying out wines or gifting the tour as a gift to friends or family.
What a fantastic experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the Silverhand Estate Vineyard & Winery Tour from start to finish. The beautiful setting, knowledgeable team, and excellent wines made for a truly memorable visit. The standout for us was the Bacchus, without doubt the best UK Bacchus we've tasted. Crisp, vibrant, and bursting with character. Afterwards a visit to the pop-up pizza for a nice lunch, accompanied with a bottle of their sparkling wine. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend a visit to anyone who appreciates great English wine.
Silverhand is our favourite English sparkling wine and often choose it over Champagne. We had a brilliant tour by Helen and welcomed by Louise. The entire experience was very personal and we had a chance to sample 5 of their wines and the tour was overall about 3 hours. The value for money was amazing and looking forward to see how this place develops. They also have a pop up pub about 100 yards up the road which makes great pizzas.
Fantastic cheese and wine evening for a treat for my mum's 63rd Birthday 🎂 Helen was absolutely gorgeous! A very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive lady all evening. Delicious cheese and superb wines! I absolutely recommend 100%. We have signed up for the social media events and can't wait to come back 🙌
Silverhand Estate at Luddesdown in Kent is the UK's largest single organic vineyard, making English sparkling wine with sheep and English Longhorn cattle built into its farming.
Silverhand Estate is a wine estate at Luddesdown in the Kent countryside, home to the largest single organic vineyard in the UK at more than 900 acres, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The estate takes its name from King Ludd, a first century king of the Trinovantes, and says it is the first UK vineyard to reach carbon negative status without offsetting.
The farming is organic, with livestock built into the system. Jacob and Romney sheep graze between the vines, keeping growth at the right length for harvest and bud burst while feeding the soil, and a herd of rare breed English Longhorns breaks up the pasture and fertilises the land as part of the regenerative approach. The estate makes English sparkling wines including Silver Reign and the limited edition KYNG, and welcomes visitors for tours, tastings, shopping and dining, with the cellar door open seven days a week.
