South Ormsby Estate is a 3,000 acre Lincolnshire Wolds estate selling grass fed, pasture raised Lincoln Red beef from its own organic herd through its own butchery.
South Ormsby Estate is a 3,000 acre estate in the Lincolnshire Wolds, farmed by the Massingberd-Mundy family for close to four hundred years.
Its herd is Lincoln Red, one of Britain's oldest native breeds, and the estate's own pages describe the cattle as grass fed and pasture raised on a forage based diet. Cattle Manager Philip Taylor looks after the pedigree herd and describes it as organic. Nothing on the estate's beef pages mentions grain finishing.
The beef is cut in the estate's own artisan butchery and sold direct, with steaks, roasting joints, mince, burgers and offal ordered from the online shop for click and collect from the estate or next day delivery. The estate also distils its own gin on site, tends an organic vineyard, runs guided walks across the Wolds and hosts a rural business incubator on the same land. Estate Manager Paul Barnes has over twenty years of estate and farm management behind him.

We had such a lovely time at South Ormsby Estate. Sara and Paul, the Estate Manager, were fantastic hosts—friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The wines were all excellent, and we never felt rushed. Everything was beautifully set out in stunning surroundings, so we could relax and really enjoy the tasting at our own pace. It was well worth the visit, and we enjoyed it so much that we’ve already booked more experiences. We can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable day out.
