5 stars are not enough for little Walterstone farm. Right from the second I arrived was welcomed with big smiles and warmth and lots of love from the beautiful farm dogs. I couldn't have felt more at home. The wealth of knowledge was undeniable and delivered in such an easy to understand, informal way. It was so incredibly fascinating to get so up close and personal with the bees and watch them at work. Ending the day with some honey tasting, a cuppa and some beautiful homemade honey treats. We were generously given a delicious jar of honey to take home. I did also buy a few cheeky extras. James and Jade were fantastic hosts and have something special in little Walterstone farm. I look forward to seeing you at markets and I definitely plan to visit your farm again.
We had such a lovely time at the beekeeping experience with James and Jade. It was great fun, full of giggles, and really interesting. They are both so knowledgeable and passionate about bees! The honey tasting was a real highlight, and the homemade honey cake, flapjacks and biscuits were absolutely delicious. You also get to take home a jar of their honey at the end, and the hot honey is the best! A fantastic experience from start to finish. We would definitely recommend it and the 3 of us would love to come back again! "
Our beekeeping experience was absolutely fantastic. James and Jade delivered an exceptional session filled with tremendous insight, hands‑on learning, and a real passion for what they do. Their knowledge, enthusiasm, and ability to explain everything so clearly made the whole experience both fascinating and memorable. We had a truly wonderful time at the farm with Jade and James. They make a tremendous effort to make sure everyone feels welcome And they live for nature and the farm really shines through. We had a fabulous hands on the experience and we would recommend it for anyone. While we were there in our group there was actually somebody who was slightly worried about the bees, but they put her at ease and she really enjoyed the experience.
What an amazing experience, we thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish, I would definitely recommend it, the talk at the beginning was so informative, the home made honey cake was to die for, and the honey tasting lovely 😊 James and jade were so lovely and welcoming, thanks again ❤️

We had the best time today at Little Walterstone Farm! The beekeeping experience was fantastic from start to finish. Everything was explained so well, and the information was genuinely fascinating and easy to follow. It has completely inspired us and we will definitely be getting our own bees. The hands on experience was amazing and made the whole day even more memorable. We also loved the honey tasting, and the homemade honey cake and biscuits were absolutely incredible, a lovely extra touch. If you’re even slightly curious about beekeeping or want a fun day out, we can’t recommend this experience enough. Thank you for such a brilliant day!
Brilliant experience at Little Walterstone Farm, one I would genuinely recommend to anyone. James and Jade are fantastic hosts; knowledgeable, passionate, and clearly devoted to what they do. Learning about the bees and the role they play in the wider ecosystem was genuinely fascinating. The farm itself is a joy to visit. Everything is done with care, the animals, the produce, the whole operation. Communication beforehand was prompt and easy, which always makes a difference. Support your local farmers. This is exactly the kind of place that deserves it.
I had such a lovely time at the Bee Keeping course at Walterstone Farm with James and Jade. The talk we had beforehand was super informative and I learned so much about honey bees that I never knew before. The course was amazing and I really encourage everyone to give it a try. James took loads of photos and shared them on a WhatsApp group. You get to get up and close with the bees plus trying different kinds of honey and honey straight from the hive. The honey cake was very tasty as well. Thank you for the jar of honey, it was lovely x 💖 💕
Gower Meadow Beef is a small family farm at Penmaen on Gower near Swansea selling pasture fed beef from native Welsh Black and Dexter cattle, collected from the farm or delivered locally.
Gower Meadow Beef comes from a small family farm at Penmaen on the Gower Peninsula near Swansea. The cattle are pasture fed, which gives the beef its distinctive yellow fat, rich in the antioxidant beta carotene, along with high levels of omega 3 fatty acids and more vitamins and minerals than grain fed beef.
The beef is dry aged, cut into everything from mince and burgers to ribeye, brisket and rib of beef, and sold frozen through the online shop. Collect from the farm, or delivery can be arranged within 12 miles of Penmaen, taking in Gower, Swansea, Llanelli and Gorseinon, and Farmco in Kingsbridge, Gorseinon stocks the beef as well.
