What an amazing experience. James and Jade are incredible and make the day so enjoyable and memorable. There is the perfect mix of education and fun plus the added bonus of honey tasing and treats. 100% Recommend 🍯🐝
We had the best time today at Little Walterstone Farm! The beekeeping experience was fantastic from start to finish. Everything was explained so well, and the information was genuinely fascinating and easy to follow. It has completely inspired us and we will definitely be getting our own bees. The hands on experience was amazing and made the whole day even more memorable. We also loved the honey tasting, and the homemade honey cake and biscuits were absolutely incredible, a lovely extra touch. If you’re even slightly curious about beekeeping or want a fun day out, we can’t recommend this experience enough. Thank you for such a brilliant day!
I had the most wonderful three hour bee keeping experience today at Little Waterstone Farm. There was a very warm welcome, great information on the life of bees, the opportunity to view the hives and hold a comb full of bees and a tasting session of a number of different honeys from around the world. The homemade honey biscuits and honey cake were an added bonus to go with the tea provided. Thank you James and Jade for making this a truly memorable experience. I’d recommend this course, highly, to anyone wanting to learn about the fascinating life of bees.
Wonderful experience at the family farm. James & Jade were such enthusiastic hosts, and so knowledgeable about the bees...what amazing creatures they are.. We had wonderful treats too with honey biscuits & cake. A geat place to go.
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up

Bee-rilliant! Fascinating, recommended if you want to keep your own bees or if you just like them. Very well planned day and I was over the moon that my allergy was catered for so thoughtfully.
Brilliant experience at Little Walterstone Farm, one I would genuinely recommend to anyone. James and Jade are fantastic hosts; knowledgeable, passionate, and clearly devoted to what they do. Learning about the bees and the role they play in the wider ecosystem was genuinely fascinating. The farm itself is a joy to visit. Everything is done with care, the animals, the produce, the whole operation. Communication beforehand was prompt and easy, which always makes a difference. Support your local farmers. This is exactly the kind of place that deserves it.
I had such a lovely time at the Bee Keeping course at Walterstone Farm with James and Jade. The talk we had beforehand was super informative and I learned so much about honey bees that I never knew before. The course was amazing and I really encourage everyone to give it a try. James took loads of photos and shared them on a WhatsApp group. You get to get up and close with the bees plus trying different kinds of honey and honey straight from the hive. The honey cake was very tasty as well. Thank you for the jar of honey, it was lovely x 💖 💕
From the outset, James and Jade were friendly and approachable. A wealth of knowledge was presented in an easily understand talk which had me listening to every word - a far cry from my Uni days trying not to fall asleep in lectures. Then we all suited up and were taken to the bees and James and Jade made sure we felt safe at all times. The bee keeping experience was absolutely incredible and the icing on the cake was a jar of their fabulous honey to take home. I very highly recommend the bee keeping experience - 5 stars isn't enough. Dan and Anneka.
