The shop covers fresh produce, grocery staples, a deli, bulk foods, beer and wine and wellness, leaning towards local, organic and seasonal food from Santa Barbara County farmers and producers. The farm store sells the farm's organic eggs alongside natural and handcrafted local goods, snacks, drinks and chicken themed gifts, and you can meet the chickens at the farm stand when you call in. Their journey started four years ago when they began questioning the nutrition in their children's diet and the unknown ingredients on food labels, which led them to raw milk and to seeing food as medicine. They keep a small herd of Jersey cows and share the milk through a raw milk herdshare, where members own a share of the herd, pay for its monthly care, and receive the milk in return.
A full share brings a gallon a week and a half share brings a half gallon, with a one time fee to buy into the herd. Weekly pickups run in Livermore, Modesto and Patterson, and the farm also sells raw unfiltered honey by the pint mason jar.
