We went to the Pumpkin Patch today and had an amazing time. They have a REAL pumpkin patch where you can actually cut the pumpkins off the vines. We loved the variety and imperfections of the pumpkins. It was so nice to have a peaceful, real experience without it being a circus. The owners were some of the nicest people ever. We will definitely go back again next year.
I absolutely love getting my fresh veggies from Further Up Farms! They take great pride in the produce they grow and never use any of the icky chemicals/pesticides.....the added bonus is the produce lasts FOREVER in my fridge because it's literally harvested a few days before I buy it! I have also enjoyed getting to know the farmers, Willy and Grace and their beautiful family, that work hard every day to feed our community. Sign up for their CSAs, go find them at the farmers market in Black Forest, pop-ups, or even at their farm! If you want to support local, this is a great way to do it!
We have participated in Further Up Farms' Community Supported Agriculture (C.S.A.) for (I think) two years. We love Willie and Grace and love their incredible farm produce. There is nothing like preparing beets, carrots or other veggies that were in the ground the day before. This years' tomatoes and string beans were like eating yummy ice cream! You can bet that we are already anxious to sign up for 2026!!!
Further Up Farms has a wide variety of beautiful produce. Their vegetables have been an amazing addition to our kitchen. Kind, friendly, and helpful staff every time. Three great locations!! Highly recommend.
I signed up for the CSA summer session for the first time this year, and having fresh veggies to pick up from the farmer’s market every week has been one of the highlights of my summer! The produce is top-quality, grown and harvested with evident care, and it has been so fun to get a mixture of familiar favorites alongside some new vegetables I’d never tried before (here’s looking at you, kohlrabi!). Highly recommend!
Fresh, delicious produce grown without chemicals. They have a great variety in the box throughout the CSA season, plus a discount on any extra items for CSA members. We love seeing Grace and Willy at the Black Forest market!
The food grown here is loved throughout every part of the growing, harvesting, packaging process. Even the transporting to the farmers markets or pop ups in their incredibly built farm stand on wheels looks to be a loved labor for this family. I can honestly say buying produce from this family farm changed my life! Which might sound crazy but it's true. I found this farm by signing up for a working share membership thru their Community Shared Agriculture program. In the spring, summer and fall months my children and I are able to come work at the farm for 2-4 hours most weeks of the month in exchange for a discount on the CSA totes of vegetables from the farm. We get so much more than that though with the hands on knowledge of the pesticide & herbicide free farm, answers to any questions, patient leadership, acres of peace and community connection. Our family uses our weekly share and although I still have to have a grocery run for some produce, we get a chance to try new things we might not get off hand at the store. Due to the seasons each weeks box is different. My children get so excited when they come across some vegetables they harvested in our bin when we collect it at the farmers market. The taste and quality of the vegetables we receive is exceptional! They do have memberships without the working share commitment, for anyone interested. I appreciate the passion for helping others that this farm is all about. They accept SNAP, EBT, WIC, food assistance programs and have pop up markets on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and can be found at the Black Forest Farmers Market on Saturdays.
