Zwack Family Farm

Janie Zwack left nursing in 2020 to be home with her kids and started with exactly one cow. The herd grazes fresh unsprayed pasture on rotation whenever Colorado gives grass, moving to alfalfa and grass hay when it runs out, with an organic, corn free, soy free ration at milking. The family breeds without hormones, watching for natural heat cycles, and every cow gets a full three month dry period before calving.

Milk is bottled after the morning milking and in members' hands the same week, non homogenised with the cream on top, every jar from this one herd and no one else's. Careful handling and sanitation are treated as the whole job, and the milk is tested every month to confirm the practices are holding up.
