Vision Farms

The heart of the farm is a herd of purebred Jersey milk cows offered through herd shares: Colorado law allows milk only from an animal you own, so share owners become part owners of the herd and collect a gallon of fresh, whole raw milk each week while the farm feeds, cares for and milks the cows.

From late spring to mid fall the cows get all the green grass they can eat, with a small ration of ground oats, alfalfa pellets and dried molasses at milking time and grass and alfalfa hay in winter. The farm also raises Hereford grass fed beef cattle, broilers and turkeys for meat, free range laying hens and young pullets to sell, Finnsheep for wool and grass fed lamb, a large garden, and Australian Shepherd and Great Pyrenees pups.
