Coastal Rancher

The raw milk is amazing, both regular and chocolate was a hit for us. Their sourdough bread and donuts have great flavor and were fresh. I have family in the area and cannot wait to visit again and try out more of the fabulous goodies Coastal Rancher offers. Wonderful service and friendly staff as well! Thank you all for everything.

Great selection of grass feed grade A homegrown, local cattle, chicken and pork. They also have raw milk farm fresh eggs not pasteurized. Also natural butter and Amish butter, stone ground flour a totally variety of unprocessed, organic and natural products.

Update 9/4/2026: I spoke with the owner of Coastal Rancher. He explained the miscommunication of the person taking my initial calI for a discussion with th owner and why he never received the message to call me. He also explained the sourcing of their beef with 6 different Ranchers. On the day of my purchase, the person working the store did not explain the quality of the beef I was buying, and their sourcing, and it turned out she basically said it was as good as a store bought Choice or Prime cut (she no longer works there). The owner explained that the beef I bought was from one of the Ranchers they use for affordability and not necessarily for the quality I was looking for. This was not explained to me at the time of purchase. While i am still dissappoined that it was a ruined meal, I am appreciative of the call back from the owner explaining the details of that days purchase. The follow up by the owner and follow up refund of my purchase does show he cares about his customers, the quality of his beef, and the quality of the employees that should explain their sourcing. Overall, I am glad I received the follow up phone call from the owner and I am willing to try their store again the next time I am in Santa Rosa. I purchased Grass Fed Ribeye Steaks while on a beach vacation in Santa Rosa from Coastal Ranchers. I bought them on July 27th, 2026. I spoke with the the representative in the store before my purchase about the quality, asking if it was comparable to prime or choice cuts. I was told that the beef was from quality ranchers of one of the 6 ranchers they use for beef and comparable to prime and or choice. I grilled the steaks on July 29th after seasoning them and letting them sit to room temperature. I have to say that I have grilled thousand of steaks over the course of my life and I have not had a cut of beef, especially a prime/choice grade Ribeye, as bad as these steaks turned out. We had 4 people and after the first bite everyone commented on how tough the meat was and how bad it tasted. We had a hard time even cutting them with sharp steak knives. We literally threw out all of the steaks. This was very disappointing considering we bought Choice cut ribeyes from Publix just 3 days earlier and they were very good and much, much less expensive than the Ribeyes at Coastal Ranchers. If it wasn't for the shrimpo we cooked with the steaks, we would have had to scramble to get a good meal. What disappoints me even more is that I called the store a few days after to let them know, and the representative I spoke to seemed concerned and guaranteed she would have the owners call me back......because they take the quality of their meat seriously. To this day I still have not received a follow up phone call. Needless to say I will not purchase from Coastal Ranchers again, nor will I recommend them to anyone.

Such a sweet store. Came from Montana for vacation and needed to stock up. Amazing grass fed beef, beautiful pastas, maple syrups and MANY pantry staples. As a cattle rancher myself, I can’t speak higher praise of their beef products. Definitely worth a visit! Ask for Michelle. She’s very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! Will always return to this store when we are in town!

Coastal Rancher has completely changed the way I shop for my family. Their meats are locally raised by nearby farmers and frozen at peak freshness, which keeps everything clean, flavorful, and high quality. Knowing where our food comes from matters so much to me, and it’s been a beautiful way to teach my kids early about mindful eating, supporting local agriculture, and choosing quality over convenience. It’s more than a store it’s a community I’m proud to support.

Coastal rancher is truly one of my favorite stores and the cutest!! The owners and staff are SO kind and incredibly knowledgeable about everything they offer. The sourdough and baked treats are my favorite…so delicious!! And the raw milk is top quality. You truly can taste the difference in everything you buy compared to grocery store goods. It’s such a blessing to have a farm store that values freshness, transparency, and community so close to home🤍🐄

The BEST farm store you will find on 30A! The owners are so knowledgeable and really take the time and effort to stay educated and only stock the store with the best quality meats and products. The raw milk is so delicious, and can’t forget about the raw chocolate milk as well! The store is clean and organized! And most importantly the staff are very kind, friendly, and knowledgeable too! You won’t regret stopping by!
