Driving to the place I started questioning where my GPS was taking me. Down all these quiet little neighborhood streets and then it finally opened up to a field and this cute roadside stand. They had a lot of good variety. Friendly people. I will definitely lately visit again.

same or similar stuff as detweilers but 30-40% more expensive..i went here thinking its local produce from local farmers..i am sure they do have some but 80% of the produce is simply resold, sourced from other states or Canada.
I don't usually write reviews unless it is good. This is an exception. Just made dinner with a spaghetti squash from Jessica's Market. It was the worst tasting squash that I ever had and ended up with upset stomach. A overpriced tomato I bought was waxy and had no flavor. I don't understand the positive reviews. I was shocked to see a small watermelon priced at $11.00. I guess organic means you sacrifice taste.

Best source for locally grown, organically grown veggies in area. Yellow signs signify what they grow on premise during season (roughly oct-may). This produce you simply can't beat with anything from surrounding stores as far as quality and freshness. What they don't grow they import so that shoppers have more options. Imported organic produce has white signs. Green signs are used for "local" as in other Florida farms. They've been around over 40 years. Owner Bill is the real deal. Feel lucky to have this resource.
I used to shop at Jessica's Farm in Sarasota until I met a young woman working there who told me her mushrooms were sold at the produce stand. She told me she had been growing them in her apartment on BRICKS -- regular building bricks. Bricks can be made from all varieties of contaminated materials including heavy metals. Not what I'm interested in putting into my body--bricks are certainly not an organic growing medium. Do the owners and managers there not know that mushrooms, as well as other kinds of vegetation, are like little sponges that absorb what they are growing in? This told me there is very little control on the sourcing of the produce at Jessica's. I'm all for supporting local farmers but I prefer Whole Foods to Jessica's.
Nice road side market to grab some quick vegetables. Friendly people. Few cool odd and ends products.
I visited Jessica’s organic farm for the first time. I will be going back regularly! The farm and farm stand are surprisingly close to the hustle of University Ave, easy to get to, but feels like a gorgeous retreat from traffic! There is a wonderful selection of local organic produce. The greens look amazing; I saw a new vegetable I’ve never tried before. There were great prices on some items I have a hard time even finding in our local markets. I have a friend who drives up from Port Charlotte to visit Jessica’s; now I know why! Nothing tastes as delicious as fresh picked produce!
