Ten Mile Farm

Their Scottish Highland and Angus cross cattle are grass fed and grass finished, spending their whole lives outside on pasture eating grasses, legumes and forbs, moved to fresh paddocks every two to three days, with only hay in winter and at no time any grain. The pastures are never treated with chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides, and the cows are never routinely given vaccinations, antibiotics or growth stimulants.

The farming philosophy follows Joel Salatin and the regenerative school: chickens follow the cattle to sanitise pasture, pigs and goats clear overgrown ground, and soil health leads everything. The farm sells raw milk and cream, beef by the quarter or half, pastured pork and chicken through its own online store with pickup at the farm.
