    The best farms

    1. 1Borntrager DairyBorntrager DairyRaw milk, meat & eggs · Hutchinson4.9 (111 reviews)Borntrager Dairy is the Borntrager family's farm in Hutchinson, Kansas, producing raw milk and other real foods for local tables. Their Dutch Belted cattle graze on pasture through the summer and are fed hay and sprouted barley seeds in winter, and the whole family shares in the work of the dairy. You can shop at the farm store, order online for on farm pickup, even same day, or join the delivery route. Raw milk is sold at the farm, and after a short welcome visit to buy your first gallon and sign the raw milk form you can order dairy for delivery too. Cheeses and other groceries fill out the online market.
    2. 2Skyview Farm and CreamerySkyview Farm and CreameryRaw milk · Pleasanton4.9 (75 reviews)Skyview Farm and Creamery sits in the rolling hills of southeast Kansas near Pleasanton, home to a small herd of Jersey cows and a family who took the farm on to keep its legacy alive. Their cream top raw milk comes straight from pastured Jerseys, filtered and chilled immediately in the farm's Grade A dairy, and sold in whole and half gallons from the farm. Kansas law requires raw milk to be bought directly from the farm, so customers order online and collect at the farm, and many families across eastern Kansas and western Missouri organise carpools, rotating drivers and returning glass jars for credit. Beyond milk the creamery makes aged cheese, fresh cheese and fermented milk. The family's belief is simple: healthy animals, clean facilities and low stress care make better milk than shortcuts ever could, and every bottle is one they would serve at their own table.
    3. 3Faye FarmsFaye FarmsRaw milk · Udall5 (67 reviews)Faye Farms is an old fashioned farm at 4790 11th Road in Udall, Kansas, much like your grandparents may have had. The family milk Ayrshire cows and sell raw dairy at the farm: raw cow milk at 9 dollars a gallon, raw cream by the pint and raw butter in 8 and 16 ounce blocks. First visits are arranged by appointment with Heather by text or call, with Saturday mornings from 10am to noon a typical time and Sundays closed to new customers. Rich milk from the Ayrshire herd also goes into the farm's unique artisan style lye soaps, cold processed in small batches using sustainably grown, farm raised and local ingredients. More than thirty scents, from lavender and lemongrass to sandalwood and sea salt, are sold online in 3 to 4 ounce bars that gently clean without stripping skin of its essential oils, alongside full logs made to order.
    4. 4JaKo FarmJaKo FarmRaw milk, meat & eggs · Hutchinson5 (61 reviews)JaKo Farm is the King family's land near Yoder, Kansas, farmed since Levi King bought 80 acres in 1921. In 1991 Ken King finished planting the whole farm to grass and stopped using fertilisers and herbicides, moving the cows to fresh pasture every day. By 1996 the herd was fully grain free, and in 2001 the family began retailing raw dairy from the farm. Daniel and Robyn King bought the business in 2015 and run it today with their family and a small team. The farm markets 100% raw, grass fed dairy that is never pasteurised or homogenised, grass fed and finished beef born and raised on pasture, pasture raised pork, chicken and eggs, raw honey, bone broth simmered over 48 hours, and tallow based skin care from their own beef. Products are sold through a farm membership, first visits are scheduled ahead, and the farm hosts events including The Gathering.
    5. 5Rustybelle FarmsRustybelle FarmsRaw milk · Paola5 (20 reviews)Rustybelle Farms is Connor and Izzy Rusnak's small first generation family farm in Paola, in eastern Kansas, focused on homegrown, handmade and hard work. From their micro dairy and pasture raised animals come small batch skincare products, handcrafted with raw milk and pasture raised tallow, traceable, as they say, right down to the very soil the animals grazed. The farm stand market opens every Saturday and Sunday from 8am until 6pm, all year round, with fresh raw goat or sheep milk, homemade sourdough baked goods, jams, and sheep, goat and tallow skincare. The farm also teaches an Intro to Small Dairy class and hands on canning workshops on the farm, and the couple aim to support the other small town farmers around them.
    6. 6A red and white cow with ear tag 596 looking at the camera in front of the barnGeorge FarmsRaw milk, meat & eggs · Wellsville4.9 (14 reviews)George Farms and Homestead sells A2/A2 raw milk from its farm at Wellsville, Kansas, along with beef, pork and eggs. Kansas law asks new raw milk customers to visit the farm once in person and sign a waiver, and after that you can set up a weekly subscription and collect from the farm store or one of the drop points dotted around the area. The farm store runs on self checkout during opening hours, and subscriptions cover milk and ground beef, with extras like A2/A2 ice cream and tallow skincare when available. You can even sponsor a gallon of milk for a local family.
    7. 7The dairy cows walking in from pasture in the evening with the farmer bringing them upHappy Tails RanchRaw milk, meat & eggs · Ingalls5 (9 reviews)Happy Tails Ranch is a small family owned ranch in Southwest Kansas, raising livestock on pasture and supplementing the grazing with a custom made, soy free feed. The family put animal welfare first and process on site, keeping cleanliness and handling under their own control. The ranch sells directly from the farm, with raw milk and meat among the goods on offer, and the doors are open every day from morning to evening. Email the family if you want to check what is available before you visit.
    8. 8Homegrown AcresHomegrown AcresRaw milk, fruit, veg & eggs · Belle Plaine5 (7 reviews)Homegrown Acres is a family run, sustainable farmstead on 20 acres near Belle Plaine in southern Kansas. Shawn and Emily left city life in 2020, fixed up the old farmhouse, and grew a small flock of chickens into a working farm, eventually leaving their corporate jobs to farm full time. Their cows are rotationally grazed on fresh pasture and give creamy raw milk that is never pasteurised or homogenised, sold by the jar and through a weekly subscription, with raw butter and cheeses on the way. The farm also offers eggs laid by pasture raised hens and hand collected daily, sourdough bread, raw honey straight from their own hives and bottled on site, fresh herbs, seasonal produce grown without pesticides or herbicides, chemical free seasonal flowers and pumpkins in the fall. The farm is open Friday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm, with visits by appointment outside those hours, workshops and educational demonstrations on site, and delivery to Wichita and nearby towns.
    9. 9Holstein cows grazing a green hillside at dusk above the farm pondFlint Rock CreameryRaw milk · Cedar Point5 (4 reviews)Flint Rock Creamery is a small dairy at Cedar Point, Kansas, run by Ria Vos. She grew up around her Dutch immigrant parents' Holstein dairy in South Africa, studied dairying in the Netherlands and worked on dairies from Germany to Japan before settling here, and she keeps Holstein cattle with a close eye on animal wellbeing and milk quality. Milk and other dairy products are sold through the farm's Barn2Door online store, where you order ahead and choose a pickup time. Ria also welcomes local young people onto the farm to learn about dairy cattle and where their food comes from.
    10. 10Hadley Heritage FarmHadley Heritage FarmRaw milk & meat · Americus5 (3 reviews)Hadley Heritage Farm is a small farm at Americus, Kansas selling raw, unpasteurised Jersey milk, cut flowers and pasture raised pork. The hens and pigs live outdoors where they can root and forage, and the milk is sold by the jar for pickup at the farm on set days each week. Orders go through the farm's online shop, where you can book a milk pickup day, buy a bulk bucket of flowers or put down a deposit on a half or whole pasture raised pig. The farmers prefer a text if you want to get in touch.
    11. 11JEM FarmsJEM FarmsRaw milk & eggs · LindsborgJEM Farms is a family raw milk dairy at Lindsborg, Kansas, with a self serve store on the farm where visitors can watch the cows grazing and the bottle calves waiting to greet them. The farm sells raw milk by the gallon, an A2A2 raw milk line, raw cream, whipped cream, butter, cream cheese, raw chocolate milk and farm fresh eggs, alongside Angus hamburger, wagyu bone broth and rendered tallow. Orders go in online and milk drops run on scheduled routes to Colwich, Salina, McPherson, Claflin and other central Kansas towns. The herd programme is unusually transparent: cows are tested for BLV, BVD, Johnes disease and A2 status, milk from every quarter is monitored for somatic cell count with only cows testing under 100 kept in the raw milk programme, coliform testing happens daily, and samples go to a certified laboratory every two weeks. Cows graze green pasture through spring and summer, with tested dairy grade alfalfa and brome hay year round.
    12. 12Grace Heritage FarmsGrace Heritage FarmsRaw milk · FontanaGrace Heritage Farms is a Nubian micro dairy at 40681 Hedge Ln in Fontana, Kansas, a short drive from Kansas City. The herd of around 25 goats stems from four generations of women who share the middle name Grace, from Priscilla, who bought the first goats in 1977, to young Abigail today. Sarah Easdon, a nurse turned goat farmer, runs the farm with her husband Colton and their children, and even the guard dogs and barn cats have jobs. The goats graze rotationally, moving to fresh forage every two to four days, which the family credits with keeping the herd healthy without routine medication and with building the health of the pastures. Raw goat milk is sold from April to October, with the most milk available from July to September; inventory goes online every Wednesday and sells out quickly, with collection at the farm shop. Raw goat cheese joins the milk, and the dairy goats, meat goats and poultry are all pasture raised.
    13. 13Pokey Cow FarmPokey Cow FarmRaw milk, meat & eggs · GypsumPokey Cow Farm is a small family farm at Gypsum in Kansas, run by Tim and his wife. Their grass fed Jersey cows give the lab tested raw milk the farm is known for, rich and creamy whole milk sold from the farm store in the north door of the red barn. Alongside the dairy herd they raise 100% grass fed beef and chickens that are pasture raised on the farm and moved daily to fresh green grass. Farm fresh eggs are on the list too, and lamb from their own flock of hair sheep and pastured pork are both coming soon. The farm grew out of standing in the grocery store wishing for better food for her girls to grow up on, and wondering whether her own gut trouble came down to what she was eating. She and Tim wanted food they knew the source of and could trust, and once they had it they opened it up to every other family asking the same question. The farm store is open Thursday to Saturday, and the farm delivers to Salina, Kansas. Their own contact page warns that Google Maps sends people to the wrong spot: the driveway is on the west side of S Gypsum Valley Road, lined with trees, wagon wheels and stone posts, with a post at the end marked Becker.
    14. 14The farmer sitting out under the trees surrounded by four of her dairy goatsBoDark FarmRaw milk & meat · AugustaBoDark Farm at Augusta, Kansas milks grass fed goats for raw milk that is filtered as it is drawn and sold cold in half gallon Ball jars, with a jar exchange for regulars. When the herd has milk to spare the farm also makes raw goat mozzarella and feta to order, though cheesemaking pauses while the next generation of milkers is being raised. The sheep flock is purebred registered Royal Whites, sold as grass fed lamb in whole or half shares with free delivery to the processor, and as breeding stock. Contact the farm to order or to join the lamb waitlist.
    15. 15Ten Mile FarmTen Mile FarmRaw milk & meat · Spring HillTen Mile Farm is Nick and Jenny's first generation family farm on twelve acres along Ten Mile Creek south of Spring Hill, Kansas, raising what they call beyond organic pastured meats. Their Scottish Highland and Angus cross cattle are grass fed and grass finished, spending their whole lives outside on pasture eating grasses, legumes and forbs, moved to fresh paddocks every two to three days, with only hay in winter and at no time any grain. The pastures are never treated with chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides, and the cows are never routinely given vaccinations, antibiotics or growth stimulants. The farming philosophy follows Joel Salatin and the regenerative school: chickens follow the cattle to sanitise pasture, pigs and goats clear overgrown ground, and soil health leads everything. The farm sells raw milk and cream, beef by the quarter or half, pastured pork and chicken through its own online store with pickup at the farm.
    16. 16Wind River Farm & CreameryWind River Farm & CreameryRaw milk · FalunWind River Farm & Creamery is a LaMancha goat dairy at Falun, in the Smoky Valley of Kansas. Raw goat milk is sold straight from the farm by the gallon, alongside chevre in flavours such as classic, garlic herb and blueberry vanilla, and their own goat milk gelato. The farm keeps its herd differently to most dairy goat operations and says so plainly on its own pages: the goats keep their horns, because horns are one way a goat sheds heat through an extreme Kansas summer, and the kids stay out in the field with their mothers rather than being taken away at birth, so the does raise their own young while still sharing milk with the dairy. Robert and Angela both served in the United States Army, so the farm's labels carry the Homegrown by Heroes mark reserved for farmer veterans. Beyond the dairy they make goat milk soap, lip balm and face cream, and keep a small general store. Visitors are welcome at Hedberg Road from Tuesday to Friday and on Saturday afternoons, and the farm runs sunset goat yoga with Patrick, their certified yoga instructor, plus baby goat sessions, private bookings and a Dairy Fest. Goat yoga is by reservation only, with no walk-ins.
    17. 17Pony Lake FarmPony Lake FarmRaw milk · OfferlePony Lake Farm is a small homestead in the wide open fields of south central Kansas, out near Offerle, where cattle dot the pastures between the wheat and milo fields and the mailbox sits half a mile from the house. The farm keeps a herd of registered Nubian dairy goats in a goat barn and milking parlour the family fashioned out of an old farrowing shed built fifty years ago. Horses graze the pasture around the house, and a livestock guardian dog called Yeti keeps the coyotes away. The farm's own About page says raw milk is available at the farm for purchase, and the herd supplies ice cream, chevre and caramel syrup (cajeta) by special order. Quality Nubian goats are offered for sale at various times. Most of what the farm makes is goat milk skincare: soap, lotion, balms, shampoo bars and candles, every batch stirred, poured and packaged by hand on the farm. Debby grows the herbs and flowers for the tinctures and balms, Linda sews the small quilts, and Wendy makes the face and body line. There is no published street address or set opening hours, so retail orders are placed through the farm's contact form and the farm calls back, usually within three business days.
    18. 1814 Hands Ranch14 Hands RanchRaw milk · Leonardville14 Hands Ranch is the Sharp family's small farm near Leonardville, where the Flint Hills of Kansas begin. They raise Finnsheep, Guernsey cattle and Lamancha dairy goats on pasture, in their own words just the way nature intended, while homeschooling five children, two grown and three still at home. Jada Sharp writes a journal most weeks about lambing, shearing, soapmaking, 4-H projects and the work on the land, so you can get to know the place before you ever call in. The Guernsey cows give rich, high butterfat A2A2 milk, sold seasonally to local buyers for collection only. The family's journal entry of 13 February 2026 says raw milk is available on Tuesdays and that they are supplying four other households alongside their own. Everything else comes off the farm too: goat milk soaps and lotions hand poured in small batches from their own Lamancha milk, and next to skin soft Finnsheep yarn and roving grown on their own sheep and spun at a Kansas mill. Now and again they release one off fibre art pieces and small batch gifts using the same wool.
