We've only been here for their Yule Christmas event, but we've gone a couple years in a row and we love it. They clearly really care for their goats and the farm is delightful. We love going on the goat hikes. Also, at this event they have some really great food vendors. We'd love to visit again outside of the Christmas event.
Took our kids to their open farm day and we had so much fun. The goat walk was such a delight!
Delicious goat cheese!!! We love the yogurt too. Yum! We got it at Brunswick downtown market but get goat milk cheese or whatever you can!
Great staff!! Always friendly to all!! They do all they can to help all that visit!! The goat walk they do is really awesome!! I'm happy to be able to live just down the road!! We had such a fun day at the farm! My four year old enjoyed snuggling the goats and the goat milk smoothie! The farm was pretty, the animals are healthy and happy, and the cheese was delicous. I hope they do more events, because we want an excuse to come back.
Go for the goats! This historic working farm hosts a lovely Saturday farmers market with fresh fruits, vegetables, incredible cheese, and local baked goods. We were lucky enough to go during their Dairy Queen celebration and see the entire herd. The chèvre, aged goat’s milk cheese and yogurt are exceptional. Kolaches and Bavarian pretzels were devoured. Go early as popular items will sell out.
Stopped by here on our way back to Massachusetts from a weekend camping trip in Maine. This place is wonderful. Met the owners and their kids and they made us feel so welcomed. We had free coffee as we walked around the farmers market, picked up some fresh strawberries, pastries, raw goats milk, goat cheese and chèvre. Got to pet all the many baby goats as well. My only complaint is that I wish I had taken more cheese home because it’s delicious. Can’t wait to be back.
I took my Little Sister out to the farm for Dairy Goat Weekend. They had taste tests between goat milk and cows milk, goat milking and of course, plenty of little goats to pet. We totally fell in love with the goats! Their goat cheese is fantastic! They have a little shop where you can buy cheese, milk, yogurt and smoothies. We got to shake goats milk in little ramikens until it turned into butter, which only took about 10 minutes. There were several booths set up at the farmers market which is there every weekend. Everyone was so nice and friendly.

Pumpkin Vine Family Farm is a goat dairy on a historic hill farm in Somerville, Maine, named for a Trinidadian expression for the connections that bind people together. Anil and Kelly, who met in Trinidad over a shared love of farming, raise purebred Alpine and Nubian goats that graze the hillside pastures day and night, guarded by Great Pyrenees dogs, and provide every drop of milk for the farm's own creamery.
The milk is tested frequently to meet Maine's raw milk standards and is sold raw in glass at the farm and at farmers markets in Augusta, Rockland and Brunswick, with a winter market in Brunswick on Saturdays. In the creamery it becomes farmstead yogurt made the old fashioned way, smooth chevre, raw milk Somersalt feta and a family of aged cheeses with names like Pandora, Teleporter and Dulcinea. The farm opens to the public on select Sundays from May to October for its own farmers market, self guided hiking, goat hikes and hands on events from Kid Hugging to the Yule Goat.
