Engedi Farms

What began as a homestead with a small flock of laying hens in 2017 now produces vegetables, poultry, pork, beef, dairy and eggs. The dairy herd is purebred Jersey and Guernsey, rotationally grazed from May to November on pastures of alfalfa, timothy, clover and orchard grass that have never seen chemical fertiliser, and fed local hay through the winter.

Raw milk is shared through a herdshare: owners buy into the herd and collect a gallon per share each week, though shares are currently full. Antibiotics are used only if truly needed, with owners informed and milk withheld. The market garden is grown no dig, with compost fed beds, no chemicals ever and certified organic seed where possible, supplying seasonal produce, microgreens and sourdough to the surrounding communities.
