Elijah's Farm is a small raw milk dairy tucked away in the Mark Twain National Forest near Steelville, Missouri, away from pesticides and GMO crops.
The cows live on pasture around the clock and come into the barn only for milking. The A2 cows are fed silage, hay, non GMO timothy grass pellets or fresh cut grass, while the A1 herd gets a scoop of grain at milking time. No hormones or vaccines are given, and antibiotics are used only when absolutely necessary to save a cow's life, after which she is taken off the milk line.
The farm sells A2 all grass milk, pastured milk, European style double cream and pastured duck eggs. Milk is filtered as it is drawn, poured into half gallon canning jars marked with each customer's name and milking date, cooled in an ice bath, and delivered in coolers to drop points along I-44 and around St. Louis on Mondays and Fridays, with a Sunday drop in Rolla.
