Crooked Creek Farms is a small raw dairy in Sidney, Montana selling cream line raw milk, raw cream, butter and yogurt plus eggs, poultry, beef and pork through local pickup and delivery routes.
Crooked Creek Farms is a small raw dairy in Sidney, Montana, milking Jersey and Milking Shorthorn cows under the state's 2022 Food Freedom Act. Farmer Hayley Darnielle tests the milk every six months for standard plate count, coliform count and somatic cell count through Udder Healthy Labs, and the herd is tested for brucellosis every year, with TB, Johnes and more checked every other year.
The dairy sells cream line raw milk by the gallon and half gallon, along with raw cream, raw butter, raw milk yogurt, buttermilk and whey. There are farm fresh chicken eggs, pasture raised poultry, home raised beef by the quarter or half, and corn and milk fed pork finished for a local butcher. Everything is picked up locally or dropped on the farm's weekly delivery routes, since Montana rules do not allow raw dairy to be shipped.
