Awaken Acres sits in the quiet countryside of Benson, North Carolina, on the land formerly known as Pleasant Coates Farm. It is lovingly restored and run by the Thompson family, the same family behind Awaken Coffee, who describe it as a place to gather, grow and celebrate. The farm hosts photo sessions, greenhouse workshops and classes, intimate weddings, private parties, glamping stays and farm events, including mornings where visitors grab a coffee, meet the cows and shop a small vendor market.
The family describes the place as more than a farm, a ministry, a refuge and a home they have opened up, shaped by hospitality, farming and faith.
