MoSo Farm

I really enjoyed the fall potluck and porch music show. The weather was beautiful and the atmosphere was wonderful. And imagine it’s only a few miles from my house.

I only buy my beef and pork meats from Moso Farm. Not only do I want to support a local farm where the beef are truly grass fed. In addition, the pork chops are so much more delicious than those you can buy at the grocery store. I love eating food with a small carbon footprint.

Love their beef products and Molly and CJ are the nicest people! Great customer service and commitment to the welfare of the animals they raise. Committed to the health of the soil at their farm, too, which is so important when raising livestock!

Molly & CJ are excellent stewards to land they farm, the livestock they raise & the Athens community. Because of the diverse forage they provide for their livestock, their products are full of flavor and nutrients. I highly recommend supporting this operation and welcoming their products to your dinner plate (many times a week)!

MoSo is my favorite Athens thing. From their meat to their music, they embody the word "community". Thanks MoSo!

Incredible quality meats on a gorgeous regenerative farm. If you are looking for better nutrition, farming practices, and inspiring young farmers, look no further. Molly and CJ are both excellent farm business owners and community mentors. Beef and pork that is good for all of us. Don't wait to buy their meat or connect with their farm.

We buy from MoSo at the Athens Farmers Market regularly. We love their burgers, bratwurst, breakfast sausage and treating ourselves to their prime rib for the holidays each year. Their pork and beef is delicious. I also highly recommend signing up for their newsletter - it contains beautifully written insights of what goes into running their local farm. I love it!

If you haven't had their beef yet then it appears you are shopping at the grocery store. Spend the extra dollar or two and get beef that was born raised and processed in the US that has never had a single morsel of grain. I feel very special because only 15%-ish of beef is actually raised in the US and less than 1% is raised locally. Their use of MIG (Management Intensive Grazing) to raise beef is the most difficult and health way to produce red meat. Yes, red meat is good for you! Here is the kicker the money you spend goes right back into the local community and not to the giant meat packers (JBS, Tyson, Cargill, National Beef). Please support these two young farmers that put their time and efforts into the soil and the health of their community.

I have eaten a lot of pork chops in my 56 years, and the ones we got from MoSo at the Athens Farmers Market are by far the best ones I can remember. Pan fried them in cast iron with just some salt and pepper, and they didn't need anything else. So, so good. Whatever you're doing with those hogs, please keep it up! And folks, support your local farmers, wherever you are!

MoSo Farm has a great selection of pasture raised meats with excellent flavor and quality. The weekly on-farm pick up option is especially useful because it allows me to obtain fresh local meat weekly. My favorite products include, but are not limited to: the bone in pork chops, beef tenderloin and beef short ribs. If you're looking for sustainable, quality local meat, MoSo Farms has it.

We purchased a side of the Red Angus in the fall and how happy we have been with the quality! The steaks and hamburgers are great on our charcoal grill, the roast are fabulous in our instant pot or on cast iron in the oven. We have never purchased grass feed in the past, only grain feed because of being told it would not have as much flavor or would be dry. This beef is not dry and the flavor is great, looking forward to purchasing again from MoSo Farm!
