Rick Bell
Founder and farmer
Started Boot Hill Hog Farms in 1986 with Jennifer; serves on the county Board of Adjustments and the Uintah Animal Control board.
Boot Hill Farms is the Bell family's Vernal, Utah smallholding selling Utah permitted raw milk from a grass fed mixed breed herd, plus grass fed beef, lamb, pastured chicken, pork and eggs.
Boot Hill Farms is the Bell family's smallholding at 3075 West 1000 South in Vernal, Utah.
Rick and Jennifer Bell began here in 1986 with Boot Hill Hog Farms, and moved into dairy and beef when their son Bryan returned with his wife Jessica after an internship at Deseret Land and Livestock; a Jersey heifer named Daisy and curious neighbours turned the milk into a business. The farm holds a Utah state permit to sell raw milk and cream from the farm, and its motto is Bring Healthy Home.
The milking herd is a mix of Dutch Belted, Normandy, Ayrshire and Brown Swiss cows on a strictly grass based diet, with hay through the winter, careful attention to minerals and the cows' wellbeing, and no commercial fertiliser or herbicides on the land. Alongside 100% pastured raw milk the family raises grass fed beef and lamb, pastured chicken, seasonal turkey, pork and eggs, with ice cream and goat milk soap among the extras.

Absolutely amazing place. Wonderfully friendly couple running this charming place. Not only are they super helpful & hospitable, but their bacon is some of the best I’ve ever had.
Great place to get great products. Always willing to please our family with their service.
Great people.
AMAZING. They had a full stock of meats raised by them at the farm: chicken, beef, lamb, pork. We travel full-time and are always looking to support local farmers and get quality meats, this place is one of the best stocked up we have had the joy to visit. The ice cream was so delicious!!!!! Thank you for the precious work you do for the land, the animals and the planet. Grateful we get to share the bounty from farmers practicing regenerative agriculture like Boot Hill Farms!

We bought half a cow through Boothill Farms and there was a slight mix up. They were so wonderful to make it right really quick. I was super impressed with their customer care & professionalism. I would love to check their place out when I’m in Vernal. I’ve heard all their products are amazing!
Great family farm and the products are so fresh. Kai the kindest farm dog greets you when you pull up. They have farm fresh milk, eggs and the ice cream flavors are amazing. Loved the hot sauces and jarred preserves. They even have goats milk soap, fresh raw honey, pure or creamed. Great local farm to support.
