Anderson Family Farms is a family run dairy and livestock farm at Huntington in Utah, farming there since 2011.
The dairy herd is made up of Jersey and Holstein cows, and the family say they are working towards a herd of A2 producing cows. They raise their animals with what they describe as traditional practices, daily attention, clean living conditions and low stress handling, and they sell everything straight to the families who eat it. In their own words there are no middlemen, no relabelling and no marketing spin, because they believe people deserve to know where their food comes from and how it is raised.
Raw milk is the heart of the offer and runs as a monthly subscription, billed on the first of the month and collected fresh every week. The milk route goes out on Wednesdays and Sundays to pickup points around Salt Lake City, West Valley City, West Jordan, Woods Cross and Riverton, and customers can also collect at the farm itself any day of the week. Cream, ice cream, beef, chicken and eggs are ordered alongside the milk as they become available. The farm bottles weekly, sanitises the milking equipment before and after every milking, cools and refrigerates the milk straight after milking, and runs a refrigerated truck so it stays cold all the way to the pickup point.
