Visited Maranatha Farms for my first time last week. I was preparing a special dinner and bought the best racks of lamb I’ve ever had. Also bought fresh picked green beans and potatoes. Normally, I don’t have much to say about potatoes (who does?). Yet, these tender fresh potatoes were almost as worth the drive (40 miles round trip) as the lamb. I will now consider this a regular destination. These are good people offering a wonderful and healthy farm to table (rare) opportunity in our area.
Maranatha Farms has the best meat I’ve ever had. It’s unbelievably fresh and delicious. I can never go back to store bought meat! Highly recommend!!!
Had a farm to table meal.. fantastic experience. Staff and owners were super friendly.
My Wife and I came up from Moneta last Friday and purchased some chicken breasts and pork tenderloin along with some Canadian bacon. We wanted to cook out the chicken breast for Memorial Day. I prepared the breasts with a light brine. Marinated with lemon juice, olive oil, basil, and black pepper. Grilled to 160 F. These were some of the best portions of chicken we have ever had! My Wife is not a heavy meat consumer but She ate the whole breast. Usually She will consume one half. We are very impressed with your meats! I can’t wait to try the tenderloin! I think we have found a new meat supplier! I just wanted to say Thank You!
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up

We had been buying chicken breast from Food Lion since we moved to the area. We started seeing a significant decline in their Nature’s Promise Organic Chicken Breasts. Many times it was spoiled and we had to either throw it away or return it. We were at our wits end with trying to provide healthy meats for our family. We found Maranatha Farms through a google search and placed a small order for 3 packs of chicken breasts. This was the first time our family got to experience locally raised poultry, we are hooked! They were packaged great and in two breast packs that makes thawing a breeze. We went back to buy more the following week and will continue to do so as long as they will have us! The chicken tastes amazing, I didn’t realize how much flavor I was missing out on. We haven’t used the delivery service yet but we are thrilled that it’s an option for our area in the even that we need a staycation. Here’s a photo of our dinner, made with love every step of the way 💕
Local gem alert! We saw Maranatha’s advertisements and knew we had to stop by, and I am so glad we did. The farm store is conveniently located - simply enter the property and follow the signs around the pond to the left. You’ll find funny farm-related parking signs and the beautiful store building. Inside, we were pleasantly greeted by two of the family-owner-operators who gave us the overview and answered some questions. There are great products (meats, candles, spices, etc) sold for good prices. We bought a large pack of boneless chicken thighs and three beef sticks. Most if not all of the raw meat products are frozen, so plan ahead! We will be back.
