De Smet Dairy is a family run dairy at Bosque Farms, New Mexico, and the state's only Grade A dairy farm and bottling facility for raw milk.
The cows are free grazing and grass fed all year round, every one of them named individually, and the herd is kept free of hormones, antibiotics and GMOs.
They bottle raw milk alongside pasteurised, non homogenised milk and yoghurt, sold at the farm daily and through local stockists. The family also give farm tours, and regulars say someone will even help carry the milk out to your car.

These are some of the friendliest, hardest working people I've ever met and the cows are obviously happy and relaxed and you can taste it in their milk. For whatever reason, I decided to read the one and two star reviews and all I can say is the people that left them have absolutely no idea what it takes to do what these people do. The products are going to cost whatever they have to cost based on what the cows were able to produce that week. If you don't appreciate the effort folks like these go through to provide you with the highest possible nutrition, keep shopping solely based on price and take your chances with what the corporate farms and lobbyists are willing to give you. Folks that seek producers like this out don't generally economize on our health, but that is your choice and I respect your right to do that.

$16/ for a gallon of milk is absurd. Please reconsider the increase in price. As a long term customer, this is crazy.
Easy to find location for one! Secondly, I happened to call the number posted in their cute silo shop and got greeted by an amazing man named Mike who helped me out flawlessly, and even took the time out of his time-pressed day, to show my daughter how the process of milking works! Then I finally got home and tried their product, raw milk tastes AMAZING and is so good for your gut!!! I suggest this dairy for everyone!
Such a wonderful place. We first found De Smet last year during 2020 (January) and the Raw Whole milk is so delicious and fresh and the only way to do milk honestly. The owner is a really nice guy and the first time he explained the whole process and how he started out the diary. Family oriented and excellent products the best I've been to and also very accommodating for request. I always stop by when I'm close. Love this place. This is the stop if you want fresh and delicious. This place isn't the same as any other diary they use a cold process for the milk as I understood the process. Number one! The cheese curds literally taste better then any cheese I've had, period! Don't miss out on this Gem!
