Yellow Rose Ranch is a family farm at Wadley, Alabama, founded by Robert Stockwell and Ashley Wheaton and worked by a family of five.
They call it a regenerative farm: the chickens are moved daily onto fresh ground, the grazing is rotational, and the feed is non GMO. Their beef is 100 percent grass fed and grass finished, with the cattle roaming the pastures through the warmer months and fed hay or pasture silage in the cold ones. Pork, chicken, turkey, lamb and rabbit are all pasture raised, and the farm states that no hormones, steroids or antibiotics are used on any of them.
Beef, pork, poultry, lamb and rabbit can be ordered through the ranch's own online shop, and the family sells face to face as well, taking a Yellow Rose Ranch stall out to local markets with meat, vegetables and preserves alongside it. Their about page announced a farm store on the land, opening in the fall of 2024, so that meat could be bought straight from the source. Customers writing on the ranch's own testimonial page mention a Christmas turkey, the chicken and the pork, and buying young pigs to raise themselves, and several of them praise how openly Ashley and Rob explain the way the animals are kept.
