The Last Small Farm
The Last Small Farm is a raw milk dairy and small livestock farm in Kodiak, Alaska selling raw cow and goat milk, goat milk ice cream, beef, pork, chicken and eggs from a self serve farm shop.
The Last Small Farm sits on Kodiak Island, Alaska, where fifth generation farmer Kelli Foreman has spent 20 years building a small dairy and livestock farm from scratch.
The dairy earned Grade A certification in May 2019, passed monthly state inspections and an FDA inspection, and in May 2024 moved to Alaska's raw milk producer regulation, which lets the farm sell all of its dairy straight from the farm, including raw fluid milk with a signed annual release. Milk comes from goats and an A2A2 Jersey cow.
The self serve farm shop is open Monday through Saturday, 8am to 5pm, selling fresh cow and goat milk, goat milk cheese, skyr and a goat milk ice cream, alongside beef, pork, chicken and eggs raised on the island. Raw milk is sold only at the farm; many other lines are heat treated in small batches. Kelli shares the daily grit of island farming on her blog and Instagram.
