Precious Pastures is a family owned raw milk dairy in Steward, Illinois, milking Jersey and Guernsey cows and selling state permitted raw milk at the farm by appointment.
Precious Pastures is a family owned raw milk dairy at 1976 Woodlawn Road in Steward, Illinois, started in 2014 by sisters Emily and Claire Plapp after a 4-H project grew into a herd.
The whole family works the farm: Claire and Emily are co-owners, their dad Adrian manages the farm, their mum Debbie keeps the books and sister Kendall looks after design and media. In December 2016 Precious Pastures became the third raw milk dairy in Illinois to receive a raw milk permit from the Illinois Department of Public Health, which allows the legal sale of raw milk.
They milk between 15 and 20 mostly Jersey and Guernsey cows at any given time. The cows have access to six acres of grassy pasture and are fed oats and hay grown on the family's certified organic farm, along with organic minerals. Milk is sold at the farm by appointment, and customers bring their own containers to fill.

We've been getting raw milk here for over 3 years! We get it every 2 weeks with no issues and it last. No smell and never had any issues!! Thank you for working hard girls!!
