Shane New led the operation through sod farming and cash crops with a steady cattle herd alongside, then moved the whole farm into regenerative agriculture. Cattle movements came first, then pastured laying hens, pigs, bees and lambs, each playing a part in feeding the soil and widening the plant diversity on the land.
The farm sells its meat direct: grass fed beef, pastured pork, pastured lamb and pasture raised chicken, from ground beef and steaks to bratwursts and snack sticks. A new self serve store on the farm at 11760 254th Road is open from sunrise to 8pm, and orders can also be placed through the online shop. Customers across Kansas write about grass fed and grass finished beef delivered to them by the family themselves.
