14 Hands Ranch is the Sharp family's small farm near Leonardville, where the Flint Hills of Kansas begin.
They raise Finnsheep, Guernsey cattle and Lamancha dairy goats on pasture, in their own words just the way nature intended, while homeschooling five children, two grown and three still at home. Jada Sharp writes a journal most weeks about lambing, shearing, soapmaking, 4-H projects and the work on the land, so you can get to know the place before you ever call in.
The Guernsey cows give rich, high butterfat A2A2 milk, sold seasonally to local buyers for collection only. The family's journal entry of 13 February 2026 says raw milk is available on Tuesdays and that they are supplying four other households alongside their own. Everything else comes off the farm too: goat milk soaps and lotions hand poured in small batches from their own Lamancha milk, and next to skin soft Finnsheep yarn and roving grown on their own sheep and spun at a Kansas mill. Now and again they release one off fibre art pieces and small batch gifts using the same wool.
