Restoration Farmstead is a small raw milk herdshare in the rolling hills of central Kentucky at Waddy, run by Mark and Laura White.
The couple began as city people, Laura a paediatrician and functional medicine doctor, and brought home their first dairy cow with no experience and a desire for sustainable food. Today their small herd of Jersey cows, each named and introduced on the site, turns sunshine and grass into milk for herdshare members across Shelby, Jefferson, Franklin, Oldham and Spencer counties and beyond.
Members own a share of the herd, pay toward its care, and receive fresh raw milk each week with home delivery included at no extra charge. Alongside the milk the farm delivers extras from like minded partners, including eggs, raw honey, sourdough baked goods and pasture raised meat, and Laura makes a wide range of herbal tinctures, balms and salves built on the bounty of the farm's gardens.
