Sinagra Family Dairy is a family run dairy in Amite City, Louisiana selling raw milk and non homogenised creamline milk from cows on pasture all year.
Sinagra Family Dairy is a family owned and family worked dairy at Amite City, Louisiana, milking cows that stay on wide ranging pasture 365 days a year.
The family do not confine them in stalls or crowd them into a small space, and keep over an acre and a half of land per cow. The dairy has been in the family since 1997, and in May 2024 they began selling their milk direct to the community around them.
Everything is produced on the farm and sold locally, farm to table in as little as half a day, with no cross country trucks involved. They offer 100% raw milk alongside low temperature pasteurised whole and chocolate milk, all of it non homogenised so the cream stays in its natural state. The farm store opens Mondays and Thursdays from 2pm to 6pm, where you can meet the cows and buy milk at the gate, and their bottles are also stocked by local restaurants, grocers and retail stores.
