Moved from New Orleans last year and think about Laughing Buddha regularly! Was a regular costumer for years and there is really nothing else like it between the products they shelf, the system they have and the people that work there! I truly miss having such an amazing option for local produce and meat/dairy (shout out to the goats!) especially one with a delivery and pick-up options if you have a weird work schedule! A truly irreplaceable business.
We love getting our food from Laughing Buddha Nursery. Their pasture-raised meats, eggs, and organic produce are incredible, and you can tell they truly care about regenerative farming and being good stewards of the land. The girls in the shop are always so friendly, know me by name, and somehow always have my order ready super fast when I arrive. It’s such a great local spot and we’re grateful to support a LOCAL farm that’s doing things the right.
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up
Imagine a whole farmers market packed into a single store. That's pretty much the vibe here. They have a curated selection of produce, meats, and prepared foods from local farmers, so you dont have to track down these very busy growers individually to get amazing fresh and local food. Not as much of a nursery as it once was (sorry Lloyd), now they're sooo much more than that! We need more businesses like this one here in metro New Orleans and all over this country.
I was so excited to find this source of local grocery items. Such a Metairie gem! Everything I’ve tried has been fresh and delicious and I love how much detail they provide on where each product comes from. I also appreciate the online store so I can place my order when I have time and pick it up when it’s convenient. The staff is so wonderful and helpful too!
This local company is a gem. They offer the most local groceries, from farm fresh eggs, to locally grown lettuce, all different meats, goat milk, fresh bread. They offer local delivery or pick up from their store. I have always been very pleased when shopping here they are always very nice and informative. Give them a try you won’t regret it!!!
