Back to Basics Ranch is a 70 acre family farm in Henderson, North Carolina, bought in 2017 by a family whose search for clean food began years earlier. Animals live on pasture for the full duration of their lives, never in confinement, with rotational and multi species grazing building the soil in place of synthetic fertilisers and chemicals, and the herd is raised non medicated and non vaccinated on chemical free, nutrient dense vegetation.
Beef and lamb are regeneratively raised and 100% grass fed and finished. Pork is woodland raised on a diverse diet of vegetation and acorns, topped up with a soy free, non GMO grain, and all the poultry, turkeys included, is pasture raised with the same soy free supplement. The dairy offer is raw A2/A2 milk from grass fed Jersey cows. Orders are placed online for pickup at the farm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, at the Wake Forest and Franklinton markets on Saturdays, or at a Wendell pickup point.
