Raised Right Farmstead is a family of six transforming a family owned, multi generational crop farm in eastern North Carolina into a pasture based farmstead.
In their own words, God made cows to eat pasture, chickens to eat bugs and pigs to root in the dirt, and that is the right way to raise them. Chickens move daily in tractors across fresh grass with non GMO feed and are never given antibiotics, added hormones or vaccines, pigs are raised on pasture and woodlot, and the whole project is a working case for regenerative agriculture: pay your farmer, or pay your pharmacist.
Raw milk from their own pasture raised Jersey cows is available through a tiered private membership, sold under North Carolina law as a raw pet milk treat. Meats, eggs and seasonal produce are ordered online for weekly drop offs in Washington, Greenville and New Bern, with a quarterly run to Wake Forest.
