HR Herdshare at Huevos Ranchero in Stockdale, Texas supplies raw goat milk year round through a family run herdshare, with farm pickup and weekly north San Antonio drop sites.
Huevos Ranchero is a family run goat dairy on FM 1107 outside Stockdale, Texas, trading as HR Herdshare. Raw goat milk is supplied through a herdshare: members buy an interest in the herd, pay a monthly boarding fee for its care and feeding, and receive about a half gallon of fresh raw milk a week, with up to an extra half gallon a month in the flush of spring. Unlike most dairies the goats are milked year round, so members still have milk through the winter.
Jahdene Oviedo, Denie to her friends, holds a 2002 degree in veterinary technology and has run the Ranchero since 2018 with her husband Dominic, an engineer, builder and gardener, and their three children. The Nubian and Alpine goats are raised on natural forage with alfalfa and locally sourced hay. Members get first right to buy any goats or kids offered for sale, can sell a share back at any time, and are welcome at the 8am milking, coffee ready, if they let Denie know they are coming.
