I have cherished Free Verse Farm for many years, as they offer my favorite teas, which are truly exceptional. I appreciate that they are a small family farm located in beautiful rural Vermont. Each month, I make the drive to stock up on multiple cans of tea, goat milk caramels, coffee, and often a delightful little trinket. Recently, however, I found myself With just half a tin of tea left, I turned to their website for an order. To my disappointment, I discovered that the price of the 1oz teas has nearly doubled. I had been paying just under $9.00 for quite some time, so the jump to almost $16.00 was quite shocking. While I understand that they have recently achieved organic certification and that prices can rise, this steep increase feels excessive. It's disheartening to think that I can no longer afford my favorite tea, leading me to place an order with Harney & Sons Tea Co., which isn't a local option. I truly value supporting local businesses over larger corporations, and it's a shame to lose this connection. I sincerely wish the best for Free Verse Farm, but I am saddened to find myself stepping away as a long-time customer. I hope they can find a way to adjust their prices, as it would be wonderful to continue enjoying their products.
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up
It's a charming place; they grow organic herbs on their farm! How cool is that!! We have tried the “take it easy tea, " which is delicious and works like a charm. They have herbs and other products for any issue, so it's worth checking out! Good thing they have a website to order from!
