If you're hoping to meet the farmer that cares for the cows, verify the living conditions of the cows and pigs, tour the farm.. this farm does not offer that. I found their website to be misleading. It does not mention that you can't see or tour the living conditions of the pigs or cows. I went to this farm in hopes to get my eyes on the cows so we could verify the conditions stated online and buy direct from the farmer. The cows were not on the farm. The meat available was frozen. The person who helped me said the cows don't live at the address of the farm, they rent land and service from someone else who keeps and cares for the cows. Since my goal was to verify living conditions before purchasing meat, I asked if we could visit the land or farm where the cows are kept and he said "No. the guy I rent from doesn't allow visitors. I can show you pictures." When profit is involved - a good word and pictures are not enough. I hope they work to offer farm tours to show off the conditions they show pictures of and brag about and price around, online. And so with that, I still have not found one (verifiable by the average consumer) ethical producer of beef or pork local to this area. The search continues.
Had interaction with two staff members. One was kind and nice. Other just had an attitude that almost turned me away.
Rude experience.

Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up

Very nice family-run farm store. Great customer service. We purchased lettuce mix, collards & pork bacon.
I feel so fortunate to have come across Full Quiver Farm on getrawmilk.com. I signed up for a cow share with them as soon as they had an opening! This is a kind, hard-working family who clearly care about their animals and love what they do. I regularly purchase eggs from them and they've got some great options for meat as well, and I love that they offer beef bones! I use them to make bone broth. All-around, I can't recommend Full Quiver enough. Whether you order directly at the farm stand in Suffolk, or visit them at one of the farmer's markets stands (their schedule is on their website), you won't be disappointed!
