Lost Peacock Creamery is an Animal Welfare Approved goat dairy at Olympia, Washington making farmstead goat cheese, chevre and halloumi from its own herd, plus pastured pork.
Lost Peacock Creamery is a first generation, family run goat dairy at Olympia in Washington, where Rachael Taylor-Tuller and Matthew Tuller milk their own herd and turn the milk into farmstead goat cheese.
The goats roam freely on open pasture and graze on nutrient rich grasses, and the farm is Animal Welfare Approved. The cheese is made using solar power, and the farm is certified by Homegrown by Heroes as veteran owned. A significant part of the land is given back to wildlife habitat, from ospreys, eagles and herons to bees and butterflies.
The cheeses are a plain chevre made with just sea salt, a Thai garlic chevre, a smoked salt and pepper chevre, halloumi sprinkled with mint from the farm, and Baby Golden Child, a gouda style goat cheese. They also raise pigs in the forest for pastured pork, and use no growth hormones and no antibiotics in the animals they eat. There is no shop with fixed hours. The cheese goes out through a summer CSA, a cheese buying sign up and stockists across the South Sound.
