Living in New Mexico and getting this cheese shipped to me is a treat. I have shared it and we need more!
We purchased Upland cheese/sausage for Christmas. It is fabulous!!! We have lived in Wisconsin for 18 years and were so happy to hear from Upland. Wonderful cheese and service..
I got the Rush Creek Reserve cheese. Well done to perfection. The Outpost had some and I tried your great Alpine cheese as well. Your artisan cheese is better than any European cheese in my eating cheese experience. Thank you.
The best cheese i recommend i loved ❤️
Excellent in every way. Well worth ordering and enjoying. Both cheeses are fabulous. They are the Number 1 cheese makers in America. Literally! Thank you!
I just received my first shipment of Upland Cheese. Cannot tell you how excited I am to dig into. Going to hit up my favorite bakery to get a fresh baked warm loaf of olive bread to enjoy it with! I read all the reviews and I cannot wait. Now the update...heated the cheese as instructed and service with a fresh baked olive loaf from my local baker and some fig jam...MIND BLOWN. Thank you for this wonderful cheese, keep doing what you are doing!
The Rush Creek Reserve is exceptional! It's a subtle yet distinctive flavor that I have only found in my childhood favorite French Alpine raw cow milk cheese called Reblochon. I enjoy it spread on a piece of fresh French bread and with a dry red wine. Very glad to have found this gem Stateside!
Note this is a cheese farm/factory, not a retail operation. There’s not even a sign on the highway. Nevertheless, we found it and had a very pleasant visit with the owner and he was gracious enough to let us sample the cheese and sell us a pound. The cheese was exceptional! It’s available at Schurman’s Wisconsin Cheese in Dodgeville, and definitely worth a visit.
Uplands Cheese is a seasonal grass fed dairy farm and creamery in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, making Pleasant Ridge Reserve and Rush Creek Reserve raw milk cheeses from its own herd.
Uplands Cheese is a 300 acre dairy farm and creamery on top of Pleasant Ridge, in the Driftless region of southwestern Wisconsin, owned and run by two families, Andy and Caitlin Hatch and Scott and Liana Mericka. Both men began as apprentices under founders Mike Gingrich and Dan Patenaude, among the earliest American farmers to feed cows by rotational grazing, and bought the farm in 2014. The closed, selectively crossbred herd is milked seasonally, in time with the pastures, and grazed onto fresh grass each day through a series of small paddocks.
Two traditional artisan cheeses are made on the farm. Pleasant Ridge Reserve, an alpine style cheese aged up to two years, is made only with fresh, raw, grass fed milk during the summer grazing season. Rush Creek Reserve, a soft ripened cheese wrapped in a strip of spruce bark, is made in the fall when the cows' diet changes to hay. Cheese sells from the farm's online shop and through stockists nationwide.
