Andarl Farm is a family run pig farm in Co. Mayo producing outdoor reared Velvet Pork, holder of Compassion in World Farming's Good Pig Award, sold online and to restaurants.
Andarl Farm began in 2012 when Dave and Diana Milestone were left with two orphan piglets, Thelma and Louise, to hand rear.
Looking after them gave them an appreciation for pigs, the two became a herd, and the herd became a business selling what they call Velvet Pork, first to friends and neighbours and then to restaurants. In 2017 Compassion in World Farming gave the farm its Good Pig Award, citing a fresh, healthy and active outdoor lifestyle, no confinement during lactation or the dry period, no tail docking, teeth clipping or surgical castration, and bedding and material to root in throughout life.
The online farm store sells pork sausages, back and streaky rashers, pork chops, ribs, pork belly, bacon ribs and ham hocks, posted to homes around Ireland, and the same pork goes to hotels and restaurants. As demand grew the family began working with a small number of other pig farmers they vet themselves, and they now offer beef and lamb from like minded producers alongside their own pork.

I bought the Andarl Farm pork and apple burgers in the Abbert Deli in Tuam. Best pork burgers I have ever tasted. All meat, beautiful seasoning and huge. Very reasonably priced for such a top quality product. Can’t wait to try more from Andarl.

Amazing products and service Discovered Andarl during lockdown. Their Velvet Pork is just fantastic, superior to anything you get in your Local Butcher. The delivery is prompt and well packaged - online shop super easy to use.
