Lower Ladysden is a family run pick your own fruit and vegetable farm and award winning farm shop at Winchet Hill, Goudhurst in Kent, open seven days a week.
Lower Ladysden is a family run farm at Winchet Hill, Goudhurst, in the heart of the Kent countryside, specialising in fresh fruit and vegetables grown for pick your own and for its award winning farm shop, a winner of the Kent Life Best Farm Shop award.
The PYO seasons run from late April asparagus through strawberries, raspberries, runner beans and blackberries in summer to sunflowers, wildflowers and pumpkins in October, with picking areas opened field by field as crops ripen on this active working farm.
The farm shop is stocked with the farm's own freshly picked produce and homemade jams and juices, alongside local Kent produce from brands the family trusts, from everyday essentials to weekend treats. The farm also hosts seasonal events including car shows, charity days and Christmas visits, and is open seven days a week, 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.

Having visited the cafe at the beginning of the summer which was a little disappointing and produce we bought very expensive, we thought we would give the cafe another visit today to see if things had improved. Unfortunately no! Although staff today were very pleasant and coffee is very good but the quiche of the day and salad was not good at all. Plenty of sad looking salad leaves, less than half a sliced tomato and a few pieces of cucumber, with nice coleslaw. The quiche, a very creative expression, was a very small tartlet with basically egg and a bit of tomato, less than 2cms in height and tasteless. Perhaps the description on the menu should read salad leaves with small tartlet on the side. Perhaps increase the price by one or two pounds and serve a slice of well made quiche, if you are going to call it a quiche salad. Unfortunately will not be visiting the cafe again.
