Great produce and friendly staff. The mid week fridge fillers are good value as well.
Brilliant customer service.
I was visiting from London. I entered the shop very hungover and feeling a bit down in the dumps. I grabbed a well needed scotch egg out of the fridge and I was looking at the sausages when the butcher (James) asked if he could help. I said ‘I’m really hungover’.He instantly said would you like a squash? Surprised! I said yes and bless him he went and got a cup and made me a strong squash.. handed it to me. He then opened a pack of haribo and said have a couple of those too. With my mug of squash in one hand, feeding myself a haribo sweet with the other. He explained all of the sausage types to me and boy they looked good. I went with the black pudding one and his recommendation the Dorking spot (i think) and they were 10/10 sausages. He helped a fellow colleague cut some bacon for another customer as I sipped on my squash. Then grabbed me a couple of rump steak skewers all ready to go and the meat was top quality. But the reason I’m writing this review is James… it actually brings a tear to my eye how lovely he was. I’ve never been in the shop before. I actually stopped in the town as I wasn’t feeling up to the 1 hour drive home and I was feeling a bit down. I just want to thank James. For his care and kindness made me feel so much better… and maybe the sugar lol!! I genuinely felt my faith in the world flood back, and the kindness just put a bounce back into my step. You truly are a gentlemen James. As I said on leaving… you have my eternal love!! Top bloke. Great butcher. I will be back.

the most amazing quality meats, great advice from such a lovely & knowledgeable team in there, whether you’re just buying something small or a feast you’re guaranteed to get the best service.
I have the utmost praise for these butchers, who are extremely professional and courteous. Am sure they won’t mind if I compare them to the butchers of old. Type of meat, cut, size, how to cook, nothing is too much. They saved my bacon😂for Easter Sunday roast. Would recommend them highly.
Thank you so much to Robert and the lovely people working here for the great experience. The customer service is nothing short of exceptional and we got some beautiful pieces of high quality meat, with amazing information on where it is from and how it has been raised. Couldn't recommend this place more to anyone who is looking to source their meat in a sustainable manner. They even gifted us some goodies for our dogs (they are also incredibly grateful) and even though we might not be able to pop in soon with some biscuits (but again who knows..: )), hopefully this review of our gratitude will bring a smile.
